Geoff joined the government of Nova Scotia in 2004 and held various financial reporting roles leading to his appointment as Associate Deputy Minister and Provincial Controller in 2016. In 2025, he joined the Department of Health and Wellness where he has responsibility over pharmaceutical services, public health, emergency health services, and health system infrastructure, all with a broad focus on system sustainability. Geoff has served as Director, Vice-Chair, and Chair of the Audit, Actuarial, and Risk Committee of Nova Scotia Superannuation Plan Trustee Inc. He has held various other board roles within the public sector and not-for-profit sector, including the Public Sector Accounting Board.
