Patrick Dicerni is the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Health Programs and Delivery Division within Ontario’s Ministry of Health. In this role, he leads a division of over 600 staff with a portfolio that invests over $7 billion annually into Ontario’s health system. Patrick provides policy direction and strategy leadership to Ontario’s health insurance plan (OHIP), public drug programs, assistive devices program, blood programs, laboratories, and diagnostic services. He also acts as Ontario’s ministerial representative on several federal, provincial, and territorial tables, as well as being actively engaged in activities aimed at fostering an inclusive and anti-racist leadership team at the ministry. Prior to his current role, Patrick was the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Strategic Policy, Planning, and French Language Services Division from 2015 to 2020, where he set strategic directions for Ontario’s health system and supported them with legislation, policy, and research.
