The pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA) is pleased to share its 2025–26 impact report, Ready for the Road Ahead, highlighting a year of record negotiation volumes, organizational progress and preparation.
In 2025–26, the pCPA:
- Undertook a record 125 negotiations, 11% more than the previous year’s record high
- Reached 107 agreements — 14% more than 2024–25
- Improved the median total negotiation timeline by 19%, including an improvement of more than 40% for the in-consideration phase
- Expanded expedited negotiation pathways to support more timely negotiations
- Generated an estimated $5.4 billion in savings for public drug plans
At the same time, we continued building the capabilities that will support our work for years to come. We began developing our first strategic plan as a stand-alone organization, grew our team, and deepened relationships across Canada’s pharmaceutical ecosystem and beyond.
Altogether, this progress leaves the pCPA better equipped to navigate an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving operating environment while continuing to support the sustainability of public drug plans and the people who rely on them.
